PVSS00event - PARAM/WARNING - insertOneFwdDp, duplicate element ignored

Enclosed you'll find the explanation for a log-message which can occur during startup of the event-manager. The log-message is written to the PVSS_II.log-file.

PVSS00event (0), 2012.10.10 08:31:54.259, PARAM,WARNING, 54, Unexpected state, EvManager, insertOneFwdDp, duplicate element ignored: _Dnp3Station.Configuration

Log-message with symbolic names:

PVSS00event (0), <TIMESTAMP>, PARAM,WARNING, 54, Unexpected state, EvManager, insertOneFwdDp, duplicate element ignored: <DP-element>

At <DP-element> a DP-element or a DP-type + element is given.
This log-message describes that the config-entry fwdDp for the given DP-element or fwdDpType for the given DP-type + element is defined more than once in the config, config.level or config.redu-file in your project or any of the sub-projects including the config.level and config.redu file for the installed version.

It has no negative effect to the project. Nevertheless you should check and correct the config-files to avoid this error.

Most of the time this error occurs because of copying the config.redu-file from the installed version into the project directory. The standard settings are already made at the config.redu-file and there is no need to define them again at the config.redu-file in your project.
