Enclosed you'll find the explanation for a log-message which can occur during the license check at startup of the project. The log-message is written to the PVSS_II.log-file.

This log-message describes that a shield-file (shield or shield.txt) was found at the installation directory but this license is not valid.
Please check if the current hw-code + hostname for this computer fit the information stored at the line “#hw” and “code” at the shield-file.

The current hw-code + hostname can be read with the designated function at the project-adminsitration/console and is also written to the PVSS_II.log-file.
If a dongle is installed the hostname dongleHost is used instead of the hostname of the computer.

When a dongle is used please ensure that the hardware dongle is connected to one of the USB-ports of this computer.

If this information does not fit please send the current shield-file and hostname + hw-code information to the responsible contact/vendor for your WinCC OA-installation.
