What could cause problems with redu network switchover on solaris x86?

The following problem could be experienced concerning Redundancy on Solaris x86 platform:
In case of a Redu project, where the main-network between the machines is disconnected, the switchover onto the redu-network will not occur, as well some WCCOA processes will hang.

If you have such a problem try to replace the line "services: files nis" to "services: files" in your /etc/nsswitch.conf file.
 

Explanation: if NIS is not available (due to the disconnected network), the TCP services (e.g. converting IP to name) should not been queried from the NIS otherwise these calls will hang.
