Why does Excel Report not work in Windows 64 systems?

If you encounter a problem on a Windows 64 systems, that the Excel Report may not start, please proceed as followed:

 if you use a x86 setup of Office please follow the steps below:

 - open a command shell

 - change to your <system>:/<windows>/ folder

 - register the following files using   <system>:/<windows>/SysWOW64/regsvr32

 --MSCOMCT2.OCX 
 --MSCOMCTL.OCX
 --msvbvm50.dll
 --<system>:/.../<WinCCOA_Inst>/bin/Subtimer.dll 
 --<system>:/.../<WinCCOA_Inst>/bin/TabUtil.dll    

 

 

if you use a x64 setup of Office please follow the steps below:

 - open a command shell

 - change to your <system>:/<windows>/ folder

 - register the following files using regsvr32

 --MSCOMCT2.OCX 
 --MSCOMCTL.OCX
 --msvbvm50.dll
 --<system>:/.../<WinCCOA_Inst>/bin/Subtimer.dll 
 --<system>:/.../<WinCCOA_Inst>/bin/TabUtil.dll
