At least one Oracle client version must be installed on each server used and the servers must have a network and TNS connection to the PSS and SSS databases.

Notes when upgrading a redundant project to a Disaster Recovery System

If an existing redundant project should be upgraded to a disaster recovery system, it is important to determine whether data point elements of type DP Identifier (dpid) are present in the project. If this is the case, the data points must be exported using the ASCII manager before the system number on the SSS is changed. After the configuration of the distributed system on the SSS the data point lists (the ASCII file contains the data point names) must be imported. Otherwise the data point references to theses data point elements get lost due to the change of the system number.
