Export player

The export player is a stand alone software for displaying video streams. The export player software can be copied to the export medium like DVD or USB stick, which means that a playback of video streams is possible outside the video system. The export player can be started directly in the export medium (DVD, USB stick). Export players for linux and windows XP/Vista/7 for x86 and x64 processor architecture are within the scope of delivery.

Operation

The user interface of the export player is displayed in the following picture:

Figure 1. Export Player

One or more exported video channels can be opened per drag & drop from the tree. The number of used video quadrants resembles the number of opened video channels. The maximum number is only limited by the hardware performance of the used computer. For each video channel it is possible to switch between full screen and multi quadrant view with a double click.

Picture positions can be set by a slider in the entire area of the exported time range. The playback is possible in different forward and backward speeds (from slow motion to time lapse). If the playback is paused it is possible to go forward or backward step by step in single pictures.

The position accuracy is picture exact. The current position is shown in milliseconds. The display of video streams can be done in the original aspect ratio or fit to screen. If video data are discontinuous which means that they contain pauses, it is possible to decide whether to play the pauses time-wise correct or skip them.

Configuration

For providing a player for a external medium the player must be located in the export path as follows:

StartvideoPlayer.exe starts the player for windows operating systems, the player is located in the vimacc installation directory:

C:\vimacc\data\forExport.
