Starting and stopping the DBLogger

The DBLogger is started by running a WCCOActrl Manager with the script DBL_Control.ctl.

This script is the actual DBLogger and enables writing from WinCC OA to the external database configured in the DBLogger. The script must run continuously. Set the start mode "always" for the CTRL Manager.

The DBLogger can be stopped in the configuration panel DBL_Para.pnl by pressing the Restart DBL_Control.ctl button having already deleted the "always" option (in the console). The write commands waiting to be performed are terminated properly (COMMIT) before the CTRL Manager is shut down.

Note:

If the CTRL Managers are configured with weighting in case of a redundant project (see also Configuration of the error weighting), unwished redundancy switching may happen!
