XML panel format, basics
The XML (Extensible Markup Language) panel format allows creating WinCC OA panels. Via the XML format you can create whole panel structures with an external XML tool and then save all panels of this structure via GEDI or VISION into a WinCC OA specific format. In the same way you can create panels in WinCC OA and save them in an XML format. The following options are available for conversion of an panel in WinCC OA format to an XML format or vice verse:
XML is a format for structured documents and data on the web. It is more powerful than HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), that is used to present documents in a web browser and easier to use than SGML (Standard Generalized Markup Language), that is used to define complex document structures. XML is a simplified dialect of SGML that combines the advantages of SGML (document structure definition) and HTML (ease of use). |
