Opening and saving a template

Template files have the extension .xlt and are saved in the Excel standard directory for templates (for example, Template as shown in the figure).

The dialog box automatically displays the correct path.

To save a template in a specific WinCC OA project (Templates are saved in the directory<proj_path>/data/xls_report/Templateas Excel document templates (.xlt)), select the function Save from the Excel File menu and enter a new template name in the dialog box.

If you do not change the default name then you will save the standard template with your changes.

The figure below displays the master templates supplied with the software ATVTemplate, OprTemplate, SQLTemplate and StdTemplate as well as additional examples.
