OPC Data Access

In the last years, above all, a multivendor driver interface established for the online data exchange between controllers and control center: OPC Data Access. For further information on OPC, see the website of the OPC foundation (http://www.opcfoundation.org).

The example shows how to establish an OPC connection to an arbitrary, randomized OPC server.

The following step-by-step manual shows how to build a connection to an OPC server of an arbitrary vendor. Furthermore, you find out which settings are needed for a data point element so that it will be read by a controller or transmitted to it. The example shows the fundamental configuration for some elements but not for the whole project.
