Summary and related chapters

Standard symbols are a symbol library with the aid of which you can display processes quickly and easily. Note the following distinction:

simple standard symbols linked to any data point types and their data point elements (according to the data type)

complex standard symbols with their own data point types. These are used to generate new data points whose data point elements are configured.

A number of panels have been developed for the standard symbols that are intended to facilitate operation.

Reference editor: available for every element; launches automatically when you insert the symbol

Equipment operational panel for displaying and operating at runtime.

Information panel: detailed information on data point elements, alerts and events at runtime.

Simulation panel: (not for all objects) for simulating a peripheral device

Properties: for configuration of objects at runtime
