Complex STD_symbols (STD_OBJECTS)

The complex standard objects differ from the simple standard objects in that they have their own data point types. They are fully device-oriented; graphical objects and data point types are linked.

The advantage is that the sample data point of the graphics objects according data point type is copied to a new data point when inserted as a reference.

This chapter groups the STD_OBJECTS according to their data point types (regardless of the symbols) and describes the related panels.

By default, the STD_OBJECTS have the following panels for operation:

Equipment operational panels are opened by left-clicking the object. These panels display all responses. For all "*2" symbols (Analog2, etc.) and their data points, these panels are used to send commands to the control.

Information panel: The information panel, opened by right-clicking (or via the menu), displays all data point elements with their value, status and time. A detailed description of the individual data point elements can be found in the description of the respective data point type.

Simulation panel: For many STD_OBJECTS, this panel allows you to describe certain data point elements and simulate their behavior as if a peripheral device were connected in the equipment operational panel. It is also opened by right-clicking or via the menu.

Property panel: Used to configure the data point elements (corresponds to the panels opened from the reference editor with DP parameters).

The setting of description, format or unit is only possible for your own system!

For some objects you can also display a trend and manage a trend buffer.

The master data points _mp* are not archived by default. With creating a data point the archive config is activated.

The requirement for operation and configuration is that a linked data point exists and that the user has the appropriate authorization. Equipment operational panels can be opened by operator level users, while trend displays and correction values can be opened by operator_all users; configuration panels can be opened by para level users and simulation panels by root level users.

In order to be able to work with operational and simulation panels (i.e. to simulate a peripheral device), you must first set address activation in the Properties panel and DP parameters tabs to TRUE.
