Due to the micro module architecture and software stack of WinCC OA, it can be installed on a small edge computer, complex server farms or hosted on cloud infrastructure.

It is also an IT-friendly tool and supports both Docker and Kubernetes.

WinCC OA is completely distributed.

This means out of the box, a single autonomous server can share its online values, its historical archives, and it's alarming either one direction or bi-directionally with other OA servers.
