BACnet HMI, Basics

The WinCC OA BACnet HMI (Human Machine Interface) acts as an interface between the WinCC OA BACnet driver and the BACnet devices/objects from the BACnet network or an EDE file.

The most important tasks of the WinCC OA BACnet HMI are:

• Browsing for and deleting BACnet devices (online or offline)
• Browsing and deleting BACnet devices (online or offline)
• Creating devices and objects found in WinCC OA
• Handling and visualizing devices and objects via faceplates

These and other tasks can be performed with the aid of two explorers - WinCC OA BACnet Engineering Explorer and WinCC OA BACnet Device Explorer.

Both explorers are opened via the WinCC OA System Management in the BACnet tab.
