Copy/update projects with the History DB
Instructions
To copy projects correctly with the History DB, proceed as follows:
-
Stop the project.
-
Copy the project to a new directory.
Use online backup to copy the project during runtime.
Note that it is possible to save file sets of an identical configured project into a target project and analyze them although these file sets would not have existed in the target project.
This works in the following way:
1. After creating a project, it is copied to a second computer.
2.After an arbitrary period, archive sets including the current and the AR_x file_ (<archive number>.<Date>) are copied to the second computer.
3. The archive sets can now be analyzed on the second computer.
4. The archive sets can be copied and analyzed anytime on the second computer. You can also delete old archive sets that you do not need any more, on the second computer.
-
Start the project in the new directory.
The Archive number "0" archives old ASCII files with _archive configs. The configuration of the archive has to be checked before the import.
Update under Linux
Create a minimum configuration: <wincc_oa_path>, <proj_path>, <eventport>, <dataport>, <user = root:password> as well as <useValueArchive>.
-
The redundant project must be set non-redundant (remove unnecessary config entries).
-
Set the config entry "useValueArchive = 0" in the config file.
Under Linux, "useValueArchive = 0" is not automatically set during update.
Environment DISPLAY must be set properly for the UI start.
