Configuration - Archive Group Management

Archive groups can be used to group data of similar change rate. Two groups (EVENT and ALERT) are defined by default, which is the minimum number of groups required. For usage of PostgreSQL® backend an additional event group (EVENT_PG) exists, but it is not active be default.

In NGA multiple archive groups can be used (depending on the license). The archive group specifies where a data point is saved in the database. One data point can be saved in several databases (local and remote).

Each configuration of an archive group is saved in an internal data point called _NGA_Group. A data point of this type exists for each archive group. For detailed description, see the description of the panels below. The _NGA_Group data point is described in the chapter Internal Data Points.
