Requirements

  • Visual Studio 2015 installed

  • Net Framework 4.5.1 or higher installed

  • You need a license for the C# API. SeeLicensing

Installation

  • Install Visual Studio 2015 and Net Framework 4.5.1 or higher.

  • Install WinCC OA. During the installation, activate the check box "API". The API is installed in the wincc_oa_path/api directory by default. You can also specify another directory, for example, C:/.

  • Set the environment variable API_ROOT to the directory in which the API was installed (wincc_oa_path/api).

    CAUTION: C# API managers must be recompiled after installing a new patch or a new version.
