Note before installing the software that the system requirements are met. The hardware requirements strongly depend on the size of the project and the dynamic of the process factors. Use quality hardware with corresponding functionalities such as redundant power supplies or RAID hard disks. WinCC OA supports dual and multi processor operation and benefits from it. As in case of RAM, CPU and HDD: the more the better.

In case of modern Windows models, the configuration and activation of the TCP/IP network protocol is already completed with the installation of the operating system. If this option is not available on your computer, you have to activate it manually (see also Installation - activate TCP/IP network.
