PM-SERVER Configuration
The PM-SERVER communicates with the other components. In order for the PM-AGENT to serve as an interface and PM-ANALYZE to provide data, the PM-SERVER must be configured.
Note: The PM-SERVER has own archives and the values are saved there. The current value is saved in Tags online archive and all values in the
Tag archives as well as all alerts in the Alarm archives.
- If you are using an older PM Add-ons version or having troubles with the
connection/communication, add the following registry entries: By using these entries, the
current TLS version is automatically used:

- Select a PM Agent Station and enter the name for the station.
- Select the settings such as System Type:Local System etc. according to your needs.
- Click on Next and you can select WinCC OA as the target runtime here. Selecting WinCC OA means that the port is already set correctly for the PM-AGENT in WinCC OA (default HTTPS port):

Under a New Station on the Connection tab, a Default-URL is automatically shown. Configure the URL:
https://LOCALHOST:portnumber
. Certificates must be accepted for HTTPS. - Check if the connection works - see the figure above.
- Tag Archives contain values. Under Tag archives create a new tag
archive via New Tag archive.
If necessary, you can change the name of the archive later on the General tab:
- Select the archive type Persistent Archiving for the new archive:
- Select the created station. By default all stations are selected.
