Replicated Alert Groups

When you would like to have, for example, a local alert group and a remote alert group, you can use Replicated Alert Groups. The alert groups are replicas and all groups archive all alerts. They can be used for different backends.

By using Replicated Alert Groups you can have one alert group per backend. All alerts are written to all alert groups meaning all alert groups receive all alerts.

Reading by default is done by the alert group with the higher ranking. The alert group higher in the list in the runtime panel has the higher ranking.

Note: Each event or alert group consumes a license.
Restriction: For MS SQL the alert groups must be called ALERT. This a restriction of the MS SQL implementation.
Note: You can override the default groups for reading by using the ARCHIVENUM in a dpQuery() - see chapter Archive Groups.
