Disk space

The Estimation of disk space tab enables the calculation of the expected storage period based on the available hard disk space.

Note: These values are approximate values.

The tab contains the following options:

Archive type - select the archive type:
- NGA PostgreSQL,
- NGA InfluxDB,
- NGA MS SQL Server or
- NGA buffer
Archived value changes per seconds - enter the number of values you want to archive
Alerts per second - enter the number of alerts you want to archive
Available hard disk space - enter your available disc space and the size in gigabytes (GB), terabytes (TB) or petabytes (PB)

Click on the Calculate button to calculate the approximate retention period available.

The estimated storage space per value change/alert is displayed on the right-hand side:
