WinCC OA Excel Report
WinCC OA Excel Report, is a program extension of MS Excel for integrated data evaluation and protocol generation with WinCC OA archive data. Reports can be created with the WinCC OA Excel Report. Templates are used for the reports. If a report is to be generated over a defined period of time, the system accesses the template and automatically fills it with data from the process database. Reports can also be created, printed and saved on a scheduled basis without requiring user access.

- XML Reporting
  The Reporting feature allows you to create reports in XML format. Therefore, add the WinCC OA Reporting Manager to your project. Historical data can be queried via the Reporting manager by using the SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) interface. SOAP is a network protocol which allows sending data in XML format between systems.
- WinCC OA Excel Report
  WinCC OA Excel Report, is a program extension of MS Excel for integrated data evaluation and protocol generation with WinCC OA archive data. Reports can be created with the WinCC OA Excel Report. Templates are used for the reports. If a report is to be generated over a defined period of time, the system accesses the template and automatically fills it with data from the process database. - REST Reporting API
  The REST Reporting API is integrated into the Standard web server and can be activated via the config entry enabled in the [restReporting] section.

Different WinCC OA versions and COM Manager

If several different WinCC OA versions are installed on the same computer, the COM manager is registered for the version last installed. If the Excel report of another version than the last installed should be started, the COM manager for the right version must be registered. If, for example, the version 3.20 was installed and the Excel report of the version 3.19 should be opened, it cannot be opened.

In order to register the COM-Manager for the Excel report 3.20, 32Bit, execute the command for the version 3.20: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\regsvr32.exe "C:\Siemens\Automation\WinCC_OA\3.20\bin\windows\WCCOAcom.dll"

When WinCC OA Excel Report runs, the COM Manager (the manager starts automatically) is shown in the panel Event Manager Connections as ASCII Manager. You can open the Event Manager Connections-Panel via System Management > Diagnostics > EventMan. Connections:
