Command line options
-outputVersion <version number>
-outputVersion 1
This command line option is used to output single-language project databases. It corresponds to the default setting and does not need to be explicitly specified when handling single-language projects. If you output several projects with -outputVersion 1, the texts are output in the respective project language.
-outputVersion 2
This command line option is used to output multilingual project databases. If these languages were not specified with the command line option -langList, all languages are output.
-outputVersion 3
This command line option serves for exporting the database in conjunction with mass configuration (see also Mass configuration, basics). The used format of the exported file is V 3 (for more information on V 3, see the chapter Templates/DP lists, basics). When exporting, the used PowerConfigs are taken into account with the dynamic attributes.
-outputVersion 4
This command line option serves for exporting the database in conjunction with mass configuration (see also Mass configuration, basics). The used format of the exported file is V 4 (for more information on V 4, see the chapter Templates/DP lists, basics). When exporting, the used PowerConfigs are taken into account with the dynamic attributes.
The maximum file size of WinCC OA DB exports in format V 4 ("WCCOAascii -outputVersion 4") is 65000 lines due to a restriction of the MS Excel import function. In order to get all the data exported, WCCOAascii creates multiple files inserting a sequence number in the output file name. For example, instead of a single file "DP.ascii", multiple files named "DP_1.ascii", "DP_2.ascii" ... are created.
-langList <list>
This command line option specifies the languages to be output with -outputVersion 2.
The languages are specified as follows:
<language>.<encoding>
e.g. de_AT.utf8, de_DE.utf8 or en_US.utf8
For an overview of all available languages see: Available languages in WinCC OA
If you want to output several languages, separate the languages with commas.
Example
WCCOAascii -out test -outputVersion 2 -langList de_AT.utf8,en_GB.utf8
This command outputs the database with Austrian and English texts .
-forceScan
Filters data points without checking data type.
-system
By specifying this command line option when exporting data from the database, the system name will be included. By default, the export is without system name.
-alwaysSendCommon
The ASCII manager sends continuously the actual state of "description" and "alias" to the event manager, even if it haven't changed. This option serves for actualization of the entries in the database, if they couldn't be written (e.g. RDB breakdown), but they changed in the meantime.
-younger
The -younger command line option allows you to export changes made after the set time:
-younger DD.[MM.[YY]][:HH[:MM]]
or
-younger HH[:MM]
If you do not specify the month and year, they are set to the current values. If you do not specify hour or minute, they are set to zero.
Example
WCCOAascii -out foo -filter TDA -younger 10.6.:12:00
Outputs all data point types, data points and aliases/comments changed since June 10, 12:00 to the file foo.
