AWS MQTT Cloud Connectivity

The IoT-Core Hub is the gateway for data to the Amazon AWS portal. Data can be exchanged with the Iot Core hub via MQTT. This documentation shows the MQTT connection step by step with the MQTT client from WinCC OA.

The Amazon AWS cloud is one of the leading cloud environments on the market. Many ready-made services are available via the AWS portal, which, can be easily connected. Cloud applications are created by interconnecting the finished components. One of these components is the IoT Core Hub, which serves as the main bi-directional connector for external data sources and IoT devices. With the WinCC OA MQTT client, the IoT Core Hub and thus the AWS Cloud can be connected in order to write data to the AWS cloud, but also to obtain data from the cloud for the field level. The connection of the IoT Core Hub is implemented with the WinCC OA MQTT Client.
