Due to the good encapsulation and platform independence of WinCC OA, the use on a wide range of current versions of the most common virtualization products is possible. Our extensive, automated tests are provided via Proxmox and VMware(vSphere).

Silent Setup

A silent setup can be performed by calling the WinCC_OA_3.18_windows_x64.exe with the Option /quiet.

The user interface and dialogs are not displayed during silent setup.

The command line option WinCC_OA_3.18_windows_x64.exe /? shows a summary of the command line options.
SUPPRESSREBOOT=1: Suppresses the unconditional restart (in case it is needed) during the unattended setup.
