Term	Description
Activate	The values defined by a recipe are transferred to the data point elements. This transfer to the process display is equivalent in general terms to sending the data to the peripheral devices (PLC).
CSV files	A CSV file (Comma Separated Values) holds the values of a table as a sequence of lines of ASCII text. These are formatted so that the value in one column is separated from the value in the next column by a tab. Both recipes and recipe types can be exported to and imported from a file of type CSV.
DP groups	Once a group has been adopted in a recipe then nothing remains of this group - all that is left are the DPEs configured to the group at the time of insertion. Since the group can change dynamically, and hence the recipe type with it, groups will no longer match the original DP group without explicit action by the user.
Element index	A data point element is saved with its own index number to enable the data point elements to be sorted into the order in which they were created. This sorting into the original order can be performed if the user has rearranged the elements.
Max	The Max column in the recipe table displays the maximum value of the WinCC OA value range for the specified DPE. (Left empty if no range has been defined).
Min	The Min column in the recipe table displays the minimum value of the WinCC OA value range for the specified DPE. (Left empty if no range has been defined).
Status	The status of a recipe must be VALID in order to be able to activate this recipe. The status is determined from a check of various conditions, including whether all the values have been defined in a recipe, and whether each of the data point elements exists.

Recipes	Recipes contain a set of set point values (commands, parameters) belonging to a recipe type.
Recipe type	Defines what elements of information (data points) are affected by a recipe (set point values, commands, parameters). In WinCC OA a recipe type is represented by a specific data point list. Any number of recipes can belong to a given recipe type.
Type	The Type column in the recipe table displays the data type of the selected data point element.

Recipes
