Memory Buffering

Figure 1. Memory Buffering - Values per Block

Values per Block OR ms: Defines parameters when a block is sent to the backend. In order to increase performance, data (alarms and events) is sent in “chunks”. The decision when a chunk is sent to the backend can depend on its size (Values per block). Meaning when the here specified number of events or alerts are stored in a block, it is sent to the backend. In addition also a timeout ("ms") can be defined. The "ms" sets the maximum time a buffer is not sent. After that time interval (starting with the creation of a new buffer) the buffer is sent to the backend independent of the number of events or alarms stored in it.
